Texturized Vegetable Protein – TVP (Reconstituted)

Directions:

  1. Saute onion with oil in large pot until onions start to brown.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for one minute until gragrant.
  3. Add rest of ingredients and simmer for about an hour. (Alternatively, cook in crock pot for 2 hours.)

Background:

We made these for a party to which a couple of vegetarians would be attending. Theo never thought the TVP would taste right. He was pleasantly surprised and the beans were a big hit with both vegetarians and with carnivores. Go figure!
